Pontiac Alumnae Chapter Programs

  • Black Business Salute recognizes and supports a selected minority business for its contribution to the community.
  • Chitlins and Champagne Gala is the culminating event to Black History Month, which celebrates black heritage and culture.
  • Delta Academy/Project S.E.E. combines the Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy and Project S.E.E. (Sciene in Everyday Experiences) programs to provide participants with academic enhancement (traditional math, science, and technology) and social enrichment (leadership develompent) through public service and sisterhood activities.
  • Delta GEMS(Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully) targets young ladies in grades 9-12 and provides cultural, educational, and social enrichment programs that develop and encourage them to achieve their maximum potential.
  • EMBODI (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence) assists Africann American males to reach fullest potential educationally, socially and emotionally through dialogue and recommendations for change and action.
  • Project Aim High involves working with junior and senior high school females, who are in foster care system.  The project seeks to assist these students with completing high school and with the transition from high school to college, trade school, or the workforce by providing workshops and developing leadership skills.
  • Educational Development provides educational programs and scholarship awards on an annual basis to help deserving students pursue their educational goals.
  • Health Education brings awareness of various health issues to chapter members and to Pontiac and its surrounding communities.
  • Public Service identifies, plans, and implements programs that meet the service needs of Pontiac and its surrounding communities.
